Diode Laser: The principle is similar to the common LED (Light Emitting Diode). After emission, within the internal structure, there are two parallel surfaces that allow photons to stimulate the semiconductor back and forth. Only light with a specific wavelength can escape these two planes to emit laser light. The most common applications include laser pens and optical disc drives.
